Pre-Trip Research & Presentations

A total a six project teams researched on various topics related to the trip and presented their findings. The topics are:

Team 3 - Reducing Carbon Footprints
Team 4 - Chinese Tea Art
Team 5 - Uniqueness of Yunnan
Team 6 - Cultural Differences between China & Singapore

Introduction & Objectives

The ESE@Yunnan is specially tailored to enhance the learning experience of students in the genre of Environmental Science – with special focus on Green Energy – by engaging them through various learning platforms and beyond-classroom experience in an overseas setting.

Objectives

The ESE@Yunnan will have the following objectives:

1. To provide opportunities for pupils to experience facilitated-experimental and real-life environment education.
   
2. To provide opportunities for pupils to experience learning in a higher-learning institution in a foreign country.
   
3. To immerse our pupils in a cultural-rich ambience of Chinese language, Arts and Culture.
   
4. To provide opportunities to learn to be independent in the absence of their families
   
5. To develop in students a heightened awareness of environmental issues and to inculcate a sense of responsibility to the environment through good green habits.
   
6. To broaden pupils’ appreciation of cultural diversities beyond Singapore.To provide the platform for pupils to discover their innate talents and encourage their aspirations to achieve their potentials.
